Ngāti Hāua Iwi Trust Special General Meeting
The Ngāti Haua Iwi Trust Special General meeting was held 1 September 2018 at Ngapuwaiwaha Marae between 10 am to 3 pm to vote three Trustees on to the Ngāti Hāaua Iwi Trust.
Ngāti Hāua uri were invited to register at the hui and once their registration on the Ngāti Hāua Iwi Register was confirmed a voting paper, initialled by Maxine Ketu, was issued. 73 voting papers were issued.
Counting of votes
The counting of votes was undertaken by two independent scrutineers.
Each voting paper was opened and votes for each individual were recorded on a manual list as well as an electronic list. Voting papers were then re-tallied and results entered onto separate manual and electronic lists. The list’s matched.
Of the 73 voting papers issued 72 votes were entered into the ballot boxes. There were no invalid voting papers.
Voting began at 10.45am and ballot boxes remained open until the stated close off time of 3pm.
For efficiency counting of votes from the first of two ballot boxes began at 1.38pm. Counting of the second box began at 2.30pm. No further votes were received up to 3pm when voting closed. A final tally was made at 3pm.
Ngāti Hāua Iwi Trust is hereby notified of the result of the vote taken on 1 September 2018, and that in accordance with the vote, the three highest polling candidates were:
Graham Bell; and
I am satisfied that the voting and tally were conducted via an appropriate and fair process.
